DESIGN PROCESS​

Our success in the design process is a result of communication from the very first meeting until the day everything is complete. We believe that the process should be enjoyable from start to finish.

Initial Meeting

We begin by discussing our client’s vision and needs, so that we can make it a reality.  It is important to discuss the budget expectations up front, as well as the timing of the project. 

Concept

This is the step where the direction is determined.  Several concepts are explored to figure out which one best fits the project and client, with consideration of the architecture, setting, and desires.

We have also developed a detailed questionnaire that guides us to understand our clients' preferences, needs, & aesthetic.

Design

The design takes shape through the selection of finishes, fixtures, furnishings, window treatments, and all interior elements.  Options are provided for the client to review and consider.  We have extensive resources for both finishes and furnishings.  We also work directly with manufacturers (instead of working with showrooms or retailers) to get the best pricing for our clients.

We also have the capability to create mock-ups, renderings, & 3D designs for some of the more custom and intricate design ideas. 

​Collaboration with the project team, including the architect and contractor, is critical during this phase to insure a seamless design.

Documents & Specifications

Construction Drawings are developed showing interior elevations and fixed finishes.  The finishes are designated on the drawings and coordinated with detailed specifications.

Purchasing

The furnishings procurement begins.  Extensive coordination is involved from the time the orders are placed until the furnishings arrive at their final destination.  

Construction Administration

We make regular site visits to oversee the construction to insure that the execution fits the design intent.  Questions that arise during construction are handled in a timely manner in order to keep the process on track.

Installation

The furnishings are installed, including the window treatments, artwork, rugs, kitchenwares, and decorative accessories.   Now the vision is realized…time to enjoy!
